I am an USC and applied for I-130 for my mother, I received Notice of Action (Form I-1797C) with Receipt Date of Aug. 7, 2013. On Jan. 28, 2014, I received a letter saying that my appn. has been transferred to Texas Service Center in Mesquite, TX. I was hopefully finally something was going to happen.

Instead I received a letter from USCIS dated Feb. 15, 2014 that they need my Birth Certificate and Beneficiary's Marriage Certificate.

My Birth Certificate:

I do not have a Birth Certificate. As an alternative, I already sent in the following documents along with my ORIGINAL application.

1. Affidavit for my birth from my Aunt.

2. Affadavit for my birth from my Mother.

My mother's Marriage Certificate:

My mother does not have a marriage certificate. As an alternative, I provided a copy of her passport which shows my father's name as her husband.

I feel USCIS is asking for the same information AGAIN that I already provided without looking at the alternative documents I sent in to them.

What would you suggest I do at this point? Your comments and suggestions would be highly appreciated.

Texas is notorious for ridiculous rfes.

I requested an expedite and they requested a document that they already had. I just resent the exact same thing to them then they approved it.
