The Ku Klux Klan papered several Chesterfield County neighborhoods this week with fliers proclaiming it is nonviolent, not a hate group and not “enemies of the colored and mongrel races.”

“The thing that really gets me is that (people are) saying we’re teaching our children to hate people just because of their race, creed and color, and that’s a complete lie and falsehood,” said Frank Ancona, president and imperial wizard of the Traditionalist American Knights of the Ku Klux Klan.

Ancona, who is based in Missouri, says the group has been dealt a bad hand by the media and the Union government after the Civil War. He said that it’s actually a fraternal organization that has specific values, including preserving the constitution as written and traditional Christian beliefs.

“That does not mean that we are enemies of the colored and mongrel race, but it does mean that we are organized to establish the solidarity and to realize the mission of the white race,” that flier reads.

Bines, an African-American, found the flier in her driveway and had a laugh with family.

“I don’t care about how they feel about me being here. I’m here and they can’t do anything about it,” she said.

She wonders, if the kinder-gentler Klan that Ancona describes is real, why members would deliver the fliers in the dead of night.

“I think it’s a ... disgrace,” Bines said. “It’s too bad we didn’t see the person who actually threw it. I would have probably cussed him out and given him a few choice New York words.”

It makes sense. We all know that Jesus was white, as were all middle eastern people of his time! Duh!
