Hello everyone,

I just got a notice that my file is transferred to my local office for "additional processing". I didn't know what that means, so I called USCIS and spoke to an immigration officer. He stated that they transferred it to "speed up" the process. Is this true? My file was already transferred to the Nebraska Service Center to supposedly "speed things up" Should I expect more? an interview? more evidence? FYI: I filed on April 30,2013 and until now I haven't gotten anything.

Please help!

We also received a notice saying our case was transferred to the local office. We were curious but didn't call as you did. I think everyone sends to the main lock box or main uscis office in your area, then they put/move it in the appropriate office. This is just a guess, not any idea for sure... in the same boat as you. Hope it is to speed up the process.. ;) best wishes
