GO to DHL Worldwide Express website http://www.dhl.com

Select USA

A new page will open

At the top highlight tracking and click on TRACK BY REFERENCE

In the Reference field type CORRESPONDENCE

For the Shipment date you should select a day before and after the date NVC said they sent your file.

Customer number leave blank

Origin Postal code should be 03801

Then Click Track

Mine took about 4 days to reach the embassy. You can then follow the thread from Peter Miami to expedite the processing.

you kind of have to guesstimate, as you don't have a specific refernce number for your shipment. if dept. of state said that it was sent of the 27th and you check to see if a shipment was picked up on the 27th, and it takes about 3-4 days for it to reach the consulate and a shipment was delivered, say, yesterday (considering holiday and weekend), then you can guess it is yours. i think our took 3-4 days to get there. at the end of the month, they should post interviews for next month on their website. hopefully you will be on the interview list. good luck to you! you are in the home stretch!

Based on the mailing date you provided from the NVC and my experience with DHL, your petition should already be at the embassy. I would go ahead and send the fax....but you might want to wait until tomorrow to give it a day for processing. You might want to mention in your cover letter that you know the petition was sent from the NVC on December 27 and has arrived in Bogota. That way, if they do not have your petition in the system yet, they won't simply discard your fax. That's what I did.

Mike
