Hello everyone is it possible for me to file a citizenship through 3 years of marriage but we are living on a separate address now? we have 3 years tax jointly and 3 years name on the lease on both of us? Thank you.

Are you separated? If so, this could be a problem.

Are you together, but one of you just moved for a job? This is something you can probably work around without too much trouble.

Please clarify.

I move because of my job. Is it going to be a problem? Plus if I decided to apply for a 5 years do I need the 3 years tax return? Thank you

I hope some of the marriage-based applicants will chime in (they know more about this than I do), but if you are still married to your spouse, still visiting each other, still clearly married, but you are living apart because of your job, why would this be a problem?

I would think that if you can prove that your marriage was genuine, that's all you need.

Sorry, I don't have an answer on the tax issue.

Anyone else want to weigh in?
