Hi,

Finally,I got my interview letter for naturalization...I applied last year in April,and got the appt for 1of April.

I did not fille my taxes yet,and Im just wondering if ill need the tax return from last year as well...

and should I bring any recent proofs as well,since I filled based on marriage!

Bring a copy of everything you submitted with the application, including the proof of a bonafide marriage.

You will be asked during the interview if there is anything that needs updated/changed in your application. That would be a good time to tell them about any new developments.

If they don't ask to see any more proofs, than that's okay.

Also, if you got the green card through marriage, they will also have those big folders with them on the day of the interview.

Bring the originals of whatever you submitted with your N-400, along with whatever they tell you to bring in your interview appointment letter, if it wasn't already included with your original N-400 packet.

For your 2013 tax return, they can't reasonably expect you to show that you filed it until April 15th comes around. So if your interview is before that date, I wouldn't worry about it.

Timeline:

2005-04-14: met online

2005-09-03: met in person

2007-02-26: filed for K-1

2007-03-19: K-1 approved

2007-06-11: K-1 in hand

2007-07-03: arrived in USA

2007-07-21: got married, yay!

2007-07-28: applied for green card

2008-02-19: conditional green card in hand

2010-01-05: applied for removal of conditions

2010-06-14: 10-year green card in hand

2013-11-19: applied for US citizenship

2014-02-10: became a US citizen

2014-02-22: applied for US passport

2014-03-14: received US passport
