I took around saved up around 1500 bucks in case of anything I had my father inlaw go with me he had his credit card.. I recommend to not carry that much cash with you on your trip.. Oneof the most expensive things you will have to pay is the vaccinations .I only took 2 of them ain't it ended up arount 300 bucks.. the guy next to me pay arount 800 for 5 shots.. ..also the hotel I stayed at the Ibis hotel. That's the cheapest around its clean and security is good I had no problems.. I think its was like 24 bucks a night .. people on here will tell you that Juarez is dangerous and scary ..lol don't listen to that.. up you will be staying in a safe place close to the consulate ..they also say don't go out at night ...its actually safer at night around there a lot of security by the consulate ,hotels ,and clinics .. plus extra military guys just walking around that area..Me and my dadinlaw would talk to them and they were friendly. If that's not safe for you then idk what is. lol.. There is no good excuse to go out at night because there's nothing around there ..Everything closes Around 10pm.. There's a big shopping mall with a movie theater ..that's where we spent most of our time ...There's Starbucks ,Wendy's.. its a safe place really crowded during the day..But be careful there is people out there trying to take your stuff if you dont becareful.. REMEMBER that's their turf you are just a guest.. other is people walking around. And they are gonna ask you if you need help and they will also ask if they can chek your papers you..DO NOT hand your papers to nobody outside the buildings ....Those people are trying to scam you...Get to you appoinmets early get that done and head back to your room and watch Duck Dynasty all day LOL... anyways do not stress look at this as a vacation I actualy liked going there.. and I might be looking forward to a second interview so I'm kind of excited LOL.. I'm here in Mexicali the trip ona bus from here to CD Juarez sucks almost a whole day just sitting there in the bus watching new movies but in Spanish..LOL.....enyways good luck on your trip and also on your case ...and trust me im gonna tell you like other told me do not stress and think positive.. Smile and keep your head up...Pray and know our best friend GOD is with us..
