Hi all vj friends. after reaffirmation of our cr1 petition the case has reached to Delhi embassy and i have to fix second interview date with embassy which i have not yet done.i need some advise.

I have not updated my passport after marriage in 2010 it is with an old address and doesn't have my husband's name in it we have marriage certificate and registration certificate and i have added my husband;s name in voter id card..

Is it beneficial to add spouse name in passport?

If i will not update my passport and will submit the same will it effect the visa process/will deny visa?

Adding spouses name to a passport has no effect. As long as the name on the passport matches the name on your CR1 application and marriage certificate you are good to go (read maiden name vs married name)

Email, Card production ordered 8/16/10.

GC in Hand 8/27/10
