How many people on here are from Sheffield? Me too, btw! Congrats guys, you're likely getting your visas this week. (Yesterday was a holiday in the US btw, so the embassy was likely closed - it's likely it might be a day later than planned, but just the one day!)

I can confirm the embassy was definitely closed yesterday, they had a notice on the website saying so, and I can't believe that, I thought everyone was from London or at least the south, I've not heard from anyone in the north let alone Sheffield.

Wow I thought I was the only one doing this at such a young age! It's crazy going from being able to drink to not being able to legally, but only about a month before I'm able to... i'm not an alcoholic or anything LOL

Haha! And yep alot of my family are like 'how on earth are you two dealing with all that paperwork at your age?' and I'm like 'well it's all thanks to Visajourney!' Lol xD I used to think there might be some like age limit on the K1 like over 21 or something but thankfully not :P

My family was SO impressed because I did all of this without any help from them and I agree without VisaJourney i'd have been so lost, definitely gonna be sticking around through the whole AOS process and beyond.

Otter, after I had my Interview, my dad and I wre waiting outside with your dad for ages, how come it took so long for you to come back out? Did they have more problems with the scanners?

Well I was sitting back down and then after she called you back I thought she would call me back next, but then she called back like 4 other people after she called you so I was getting kind of worried that she missed me out or something, but then some guy came up to me and said 'Are you I-901?' and I said yeah and he said she was going to call me up by name or something. Sat for a while longer and still not called back so in the end I just walked up to the window myself haha

She was really apologetic and said she was so sorry for the delay, she just wanted to try to get more peoples interviews done quick and asked if I minded if I could wait at the window while she restarted her computer, so I said sure and then once it was up and running she tried again and it worked finally and took my fingerprints :P

I was so worried that like they were looking at my case file again and something was wrong and stuff but no, she just wanted to get all the other interviews done while I waited I guess ^^

She said 'any more questions?' and I asked again, 'do you think it will arrive before the 26th?' and she said 'sure! I dont see why not!' so like on Monday we bought my plane ticket thinking we would be fine after she told me twice I would get my passport back in time, but because I am a worrier I emailed the embassy asking if it would be done before then and then they told me 'approximately 10-15 days' which left me pretty worried :(

But I am hoping the lady is right and I get it back in time :D don't really want to have to pay the change fee haha!

This is useful for Otter as well:

The guide on this forum says 1 day. I'd expected that, but mine was in AP for one morning and had changed to issued the same day. Otter - if yours has changed to AP as well, you'll probably receive your passport Friday or Monday (the 24th - just in time, by all accounts!!), if that helps put your mind at ease? No guarantees, obviously, but that's how mine went.

Thank you so much for the info :) I really hope I do receive it by then, that would be fantastic! I'm picking mine up at one of the courier locations as luckily there is one in my town ^^

The whole 'Admin processing' thing just scares a lot of people because of some of the stories on VJ about it lasting a while, but according to the guide this is a normal status change for London ^^
