Hi My fellow VJ Members,

My daughter and I filled out and submitted DS-260 last week, hubby will be sending off civil documents this week, I just read the information on preparing for interview in Jamaica, and I see some reading about non-impediment to marriage. I am wondering if my daughter who became 18 years old in Jan.2014, Do I need to get this certificate for her? since the reading says if your child is 18 yrs older once can present this certificate, It didnt state that it was a requirement, So I am wondering if I need to get a certificate for her.

Thank you in advance for your response.

@Jawaree, I was reading the information on Jamaica consulate interview and it states that if your child is migrating with you and he she is 18 years older,, they need this certificate. She just applied for it anyway. Based on what I read it seemed like its something we need to bring once the child is 18 or older.
