Hi guys i have à quick question for my friend she married in déc 2012 but when she files her tax return in feb 2013 she didnt mentioned abt her married like she files as à single not as à married but pro is now she want to file i 130 for her husband in aug this year but if its gonna be à pro for her Bcoz she still files as à single not as à married please reply me fast Thanks.

There may be someone more qualified to answer this than me, but here is what I think she will need to do. From the IRS standpoint she needs to ammend her 2012 return and file as married filing jointly or more than likely she will want to file married, filing separately as her husband is not living here. It is not a big deal. If she has anyone do her taxes she can just have them ammed the 2012 return when she files her 2013 return. I don't think this will really affect her I-130, but from a tax standpoint, the sooner she fixes the better. She shouldn't have any trouble with the I130 as long as she has proof of the marriage regardless of what the taxes say.
