Hoping to get some feedback from fellow members.

My wife had an interview on the 14th of January 2014. Interview went well and the counseler said everything is in order but they wanted to see her Original Birth Certificate in native language. We had already submitted the certified english translation to NVC and it was good enough for them.

She was handed a 221 (g) and was asked to bring the birth certificate. She submitted the so document on the 21st.

On the 22nd there was a case updated date of 22nd. Then the date case updated keeps getting changed every Thursday and Friday but the status remains the same - Administrative Processing.

Dates updated: 30th and 31st and then 6th and then the 7th but the status stays the same.

My question to the community is why so many updates, what are they actually might be doing with the case? I called NVC today and I was told that the counseler started working on the case on the 30th. Does it really take this long to review one piece of information i.e. a birth certificate?

Anybody went through this similar issues? What is so secret about the Thursdays and Fridays?
