Scheduling interview after case complete for IR1/CR1 vs. F2A

Hi,

I did a search, I could not find any thread that discusses this specific topic.

I just recently became USC and upgraded my wife's petition (NVC just confirmed that they have upgraded her case from F2A to CR1).

Currently, we are waiting for the case completion of her petition at NVC (hopefully, sometime this month).

I notice that for F2A category, it may take up to two months before one could get an interview.

I am curious if for IR1/CR1 category that US embassy would schedule an interview faster than F2A category or they go to the same pile of petitions (thus the same queue) at the embassy.

12/17/2013 - Requested NVC to upgrade the petition from F2A to CR1 category

12/26/2013 - Got checklist for I864, sent the correction back

12/30/2013 - NVC received the I864 checklist package

01/06/2014 - NVC confirmed that our petition was upgraded to CR1 category

01/23/2014 - Case Complete

01/29/2014 - Received interview letter

03/26/2014 - Interview - APPROVED!!

January 28, 2014: Production of new Green Card ordered

February 3, 2014: New Green Card received; done with USCIS until fall of 2023*

December 18, 2023:  Filed I-90 to renew Green Card

December 21, 2023:  Production of new Green Card ordered - will be seeing USCIS again every 10 years for renewal
