You must bring ... evidence of approved I-129F

I was just rereading the confirmation email from the DS-160, it states the following

YOU MUST BRING the confirmation page and the following document(s) with you at all steps during the application process:

Passport; Evidence of approved I-129F

We never received a letter version of the NOA2, only the email - would a print out of the email be sufficient ?

I've never known anybody interviewing in London to need proof that their petition was approved. You will send NOA2 with AOS. Now would be a good time to contact USCIS and tell them you didn't receive the petition approval notice so that is sorted before AOS.

I thought you also needed the original NOA2 during AOS.

The embassy will have your approved petition when you go there but as said you are supposed to send in a copy of the approval notice with your AoS petition, No idea why being as they are the same people who issued the thing in the first place.
