Earlier in the day today I have received a "NOTICE OF POTENTIAL INTERVIEW WAIVER LETTER" in which it was mentioned that my application was identified as a waiver case and it might take 6 months to arrive at a decision.

I have read quite a few posts and threads on this notice of waiver topic and I understand that I have to just wait for at least 6 to 8 months before any movement in my application.

Now just a few minutes back I just checked my status online and I was dumbfounded to read my status update.

The DECISION box was ticked and this is what it read:

On December 23, 2013, we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status. Please follow any instructions on the notice. Your new permanent resident card should be mailed within 60 days following this registration or after you complete any ADIT processing referred to in the welcome notice, whichever is later. If you move before receiving your card, please call our customer service center at 1-800-375-5283.

I just want to know how is it that---just a few hours after receiving my notice of potential interview waiver case---it appears as if my status has changed to read that I may be in receipt of my permanent resident card.

Is this a glitch? How can I be in receipt of two conflicting or should I say differing messages? One notice telling me to expect to wait for 6 months and the other online status telling me I had been registered for new permanent resident status.

Does it mean I am going to receive my permanent resident card now or does the potential interview waiver letter still hold ground--which means 6 or more months of waiting?

Any insights or interpretations would be deeply appreciated.

Thank You.

It is not where I breathe but where I love that I live.
