I don't even remember if I was impressed.

Anyway folks: Deathly Hallows arrives Saturday at 12:01. Who's going to get it at midnight? Who's going to get it but not sure when? Who's super excited about it? ME!

I'm excited about it. I'll be picking it up Sunday, on my way home from taking my fiance to the airport for his return to the UK. I'm hoping it will help me keep my mind off of how much I will miss him.

Incidentally, I saw the new movie yesterday. It was OK, but no where near as good as the book. but then, thats always the way!

We have 2 copies ordered for next Sat, cant get there until after it opens in the morning as James is working nights atm... but we are planning on going when he gets home from work that morning grab our books and have breakfast at Ihop!

Also saw the movie yesterday, bit happier with this one than the last... still no sign of Dobby but at least she had Kreacher in there for a little bit. If I had seen the movies before reading the books, they would be awesome! I just Wish that she had maybe kept a bit closer to the books even to making a series of movies ie LOTR.

I totally agree, the movie experience is greatly diminished by how much more awesome the books are.

I'm going at midnight on Friday, since hubby gets off from work at 11 pm.

I pre-ordered and it should be delivered in our mail Saturday sometime. I won't be home though, I'm going up to visit family, so James will get to read it first, then I get it when he's done.

We have seen the movie twice already, and we quite enjoyed it. Yeah, there are parts missing, but the book is what nearly 800 pages long? To put it all in would take about 6 or 7 hours of movie! I quite like how they did it.

And btw, JKR really doesn't have too much say in what goes into the movies. She "consults" on the script, she doesn't write them.

We're afraid of hearing spoilers at midnight, but we're going anyway, with an ipod plugged loudly into our ears with some noisy rock playing. :P

AND IT'S TODAY!!! The final book is coming out! I'll disappear off the net this weekend both to read and to avoid spoilers.

I already have my Borders wristband (bright orange) stuck to my arm and am counting down the hours to leave the house and go wait in line with for my book. Hubby and I are really excited as this is the end of the story that brought us together! :)
