I (USC father) applied for my daughter's CRBA last week at Johannesburg US consulate.

Everything was okay except that the officer wanted additional proof of physical presence. I didnt take much proof of physical presence thinking its secondary and not so important lol.

But they were quite strict with regards to physical presence. Anyway, i went back today with additional proof and GOT APPROVED! dancin5hr.gif

CRBA and Passport should be ready for pick-up in 2 weeks or so.

I would say the crba process is quite easy provided you have sufficient evidence of physical presence.

The passport was ready for collection last week but i had to wait a few more days for the CRBA to come.
