Philippine Embassy Washington, D.C.

Anyone have experience with the Philippine Washington DC Embassy?

My wife and I intend to pay it a visit on the 2nd of Jan to file ROM and get her

A passport with her married name

Any advice or guidance is welcome

We will ride the Metro from Alexandria to the DuPont circle

Can we walk from there or should we take a cab?

What can we expect for service?

Thanks all

Don & Jenny

Oh yeah if we ride the Metro will we be able to carry our cell phone and camera into the Philippine Embassy?

We did the same thing last year. The embassy gave us great service. No problem taking a phone in. We also stayed in Alexandria. We had heard that you had to get there early to make sure you got a spot inline. We arrived two hours before they opened just to be safe. There was no one else there. The next person did not even show up until about 5 minutes before they opened. We were done in about 45 minutes. Good Luck!

Thanks

Did you walk from Dupont Circle to the embassy?

I actually took a cab but I am pretty sure that you can walk that easily. By the way you probably already know this but the embassy you need to go to is actually across the street from the main embassy. It threw me off at first. smile.pngpost-88966-0-92832400-1387303643_thumb.jpg

Really? I was not aware of that

So it is the old red brick building I've read here on VJ that we'll go to?

Yes that is the one. It is right across the street from the embassy so you still go to the same area.
