We recently scheduled our interview and we are surprised at how quickly slots are being taken up.

Does anyone know why the embassy in Manila is so busy and why it is taking 4 months to schedule an interview?

We really weren't expecting it to be this long of a wait sad.png

I rescheduled my dad 's interview last May but it only took us 2 weeks.. did you try calling them?

Yes. But thing is we are on a K1 visa and all slots are already full for the next 4 months :| They couldn't tell us if there's an earlier available date unless we cancel our appointment.

You can ask them to notify you if someone cancels their interview so you can get your interview earlier?

yeah coz there are a lot (i mean really A LOT!) who are getting their petitions approved so many are setting up their interview appointments... but just be patient checking the http://cgifederal.secure.force.com/ site for cancelled earlier slots... it may be so risky though.. because you have to cancel your previous appointment first, before you can reschedule... and if someone is faster than you, you might end up not getting an earlier slot... but i did take the risk.. my previous interview sched should have been feb 4 2014 but i got lucky to see an earlier sched and so nervous rescheduling.. i got interviewed dec11 and now will be picking up my visa packet tomorrow morning... ;)

I know! We just finished scheduling our interview! The earliest available date we saw was for 6 January 2014 and multiple available slots and dates in January 2014 and February 2014. We chose a date in February 2014 because we still need some time to gather documents from both the Philippines and USA.
