Process after Biometrics???

Hi Friends,

I went to the Alexandria center and got done with my bio-metrics today. I asked the lady who did my bio-metrics about my EAD and she told me you should get in your mail box 3-4 weeks from now.

USCIS received my package on 30th August and it took so long for Bio-metrics because of address change and I was fool not to now let them know and to trust the USPS forwarding option. So I have these three questions :

1) According to you guys, when should I get the final interview?

2) Can someone tell me how long it took for them to get EAD after their bio-metrics was done ?

3) Since My case is somehow already delayed , Can I ask them for an earlier interview or should I just wait for it?

4) Can I still get an RFE?

I would really appreciate your replies.

Thanks.

1) Usually within ~3 - 4 months of application

2) EAD based on a pending I-485 is usually granted within 90 days, although an RFE can delay this.

3) No.

4) Yes.

In addition, USPS will not forward USCIS mail; it will be returned to them as undeliverable if they cannot deliver it to you. This will further delay your case.

1) Interview is usually (if no RFE and no problems) 5 months from the day of filling. I have seen applications get accepted within 4 months and some 3 months. I hope we will be from the lucky ones.

2) EAD takes 90 days then again I have seen EAD's coming 2 months only after filling and (2-3) weeks from biometrics appointment .

3) Im not sure about the earlier interview thing but I would say "call them" and they might do it quicker. I have seen people calling to expedite EAD (maybe the same thing with interview??? I dunno)

4) Unfortunately, YES. You can even get an RFE on the date of the interview.
