Hi,

Am an Indian Citizen and working in the UAE for the last 3 years. I have Applied for my K-1 Visa and have got my interview scheduled. Now the question is Should i get a PCC from India or a PCC from UAE is enough. If I need a PCC from India then where should I apply. My permanent address ie is my passport address is Delhi, But have done my Degree in Chennai. So should I apply in Delhi or Chennai for the PCC.

You need India PCC from Indian Consulate in UAE. Also you would need UAE PCC from UAE police, I suppose . Google Dept. of State Reciprocity Table and look for UAE and India.

I went to the indian consulate. they said the my police verification is not updated in their system. So I have to go and get it done in India. Now the problem with India is that the e- form requires my present address and by that i suppose they mean an Indian Address. Since am not residing in India for the last 3 years its again an issue.Is Indian PCC that important for the interview procedure?

I think it is important to have PCC from all places you lives after 16 years.

I looked up PCC for UAE Indian consulate. They don't mention PCC for Indian in DUbai but Foreigners who lived in India. All other consulates I know does the other way; for Indians in foreign country.

I remember reading about Indian in UAE asking about PCC. Do an advanced search to see if something shows up.
