Paperwork at wrong US consulate

My fiance moved from one country to another about six months into our process. (She was living 12 hours from me and moved back to her birth country because her job abroad ended.)

Our petition was approved just a few days after she moved. Although we had made it clear that she would be moving, our paperwork was sent to the wrong US consulate (in the country where she had been living abroad).

We're having trouble transferring our paperwork from one US consulate to another. Has anyone else been through this? Any advice? Thank you!

Yep, it happens all of the time. I would suspect the bureaucratic NVC has a bit of trouble figuring where is the correct location to send documentation....lol.... laughing.gif

Good luck on getting it sorted out with the powers that may be....
