Card/Document Production - April 2013 Filer

Hi guys,

I've filed my I485 and it was received by USCIS on April 17, 2013.

On October 20 I received a 'Potential Interview Waiver Case' letter that stated that my case could be delayed a further 6 months.

After that I contacted my senator who filed a congressional inquiry on my behalf.

This Monday (Nov 25) the senator's office contacted me, saying USCIS said that my case had been re-routed to my local office.

Today (Nov 29) I received this email from USCIS:

"Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

Your Case Status: Card/ Document Production
On November 29, 2013, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service at 1-800-375-5283."

So... I received no 'you have been approved' mail, and the case went directly from 'Initial Review' to 'Card/Document Production'... is there something strange about this or is it normal? Does this mean I've been approved and should be receiving my GC soon?

Also will there be nothing on my passport related to a green card?

Thanks for all the help!

It is absolutely normal since you did not have an interview.

Does this mean I've been approved and should be receiving my GC soon?

Yes. You will get more updates once you have been registered as a Permanent Resident and once your card has been mailed. My card took 11 days from approval to receipt.

Also will there be nothing on my passport related to a green card?

No.

So apparently they mailed the welcome letter on Friday but I still haven't got it... And today I received a notice that they mailed my green card too.

The problem is: I moved around 3 months ago, changed my address on USCIS, and even got a confirmation letter from USCIS at my new house. However, when I got the interview waiver letter in October, it was mailed to my old address and got forwarded.

My question is: Is it possible that my welcome letter & green card could have been mailed to my old address? And what do I do if they have?
