USA filed while living abroad, now returning to USA before approval

I am currently in UAE with my husband of 6 years. We have applied for 1-130 in May 2013 expecting it to be completed by end of year. I now need to return to USA leaving my husband here in UAE until approval of I-130. Do I need to apply for a change of address or do anything different since I will be in the USA? Or do I just let things ride as they are?

Thanks for any advice.

I'm in a similar situation with a K-1 visa. We are living together but I will return to the states next month while he waits for his interview. Do I change my address with the USCIS?

Bless you...at least you are at the interview stage...we are still awaiting our NOA2. Still we both need to know if we should change our address or not. I wonder if on my end that would entail them transferring the case to a service center in Texas and would that help or hinder us? Best of luck to you!

Yeah, if you're still waiting for NOA2, you change your address with the USCIS. http://www.uscis.gov/forms/change-address-information
I doubt it would affect where your case is processed.

Thank you for the info! The only difference I seem to see on postings is that if you file while out of country the petition tends to stay at NBC but if you file in country, it tends to be transferred to a service center. So although I filed while out of country, I will be returning but my husband staying in UAE so who know if or where it could be processed. All part of the mystique of the USCIS! unsure.png
