Hi there all-- Our visa application was at NVC and we had a case number assigned, so I'm not sure if it is still at the NVC or on they way to the Haitian consulate already. My fiancee needs to change his address so that Packet 3 goes to the right place. Any idea how we do that? I tried calling the phone numbers listed on this site for the Haitian consulate but none of them work. I also emailed the consulate at the two addresses listed on the Embassy info site here. Just want to make sure the Packet doesn't go to the wrong address. If you have any other ideas or contact info for the embassy please let me know! Thanks!!

Emailing the Embassy is your best bet--that's how we changed ours.

But also request the packet be sent by email; as if they already sent it, they won't send it again.

However, lately, they've been sending the packet to both the petitioner (in the US) and the beneficiary. So chances are you'll receive it yourself.

To see a more detailed journey schedule, please see the About Me page and my Timeline.

Thanks! We emailed them last Friday and still have had no response yet. I know yesterday was a national holiday in Haiti, so that is probably why the delay. Hopefully we will hear from them soon. I tried calling again a bunch of times today, but none of the numbers seem to work at all. Thanks for the tip about requesting an email of the packet.

Would you believe this...I got an email from the embassy today that they got the request for address change, however the packets were mailed out yesterday (to the wrong address)! Oh well, at least we got the email version today.

Do you mind if I ask you a few more questions? You have very helpful so far! We have been clamping to get my Fiancé's birth certificate from the Archives (we lost the original a few months back) and also get his passport redone. You probably know none of this is fast or easy in Haiti. We have a friend who works in the passport office helping us once we get the birth certificate so hopefully it will not be too much longer.

Help me understand the order of events that we do next...

We have to gather a copy of the passport, copy of the birth certificate (or do we send to the original?) and the DS 160 confirmation page and what else needs to go to Haiti Messager? Where does the affidavit of support documents come in? I see nothing mentioned about them.

Also when do we schedule the medical exam?

If you can help me piece some of this together that would be very helpful. Thank you! :)
