Hello all,

I have a question regarding my wife visiting me here in the US. my wife is a Canadian citizen and I am a USC. we were married in Feb. 2013, and submitted our i-130 early may. she came down to visit me in august and has been here since. we had hoped and planned that her allowed time here would not outlast the time it would take to get approved, however it looks as that will not be so. she is planning on heading back to canada once the 6 mo. time is up as to avoid causing any issues at her interview, however her sister is getting married in the US in feb 2014. which is just after her 6 months is up. if she were to be here approximately 3 weeks after the 6 month time period could that potentially hurt us when we get our interview? we would rather miss the wedding and have our visa granted but it would be nice to know what other options we have. anything helps!

thanks to all :)

I wouldn't over stay a visa even by a day, that would look very bad in an interview. Is there any way to get another non-immigrant visa in the works now? I'm not too familiar with non-immigrant visa's as they are a thing of myth for my fiance. I'm sure someone else who knows more than me will chime in shortly though. =)
