You no longer get an I 94 paper copy when you enter the country. You have to go to the website and print it off to include with AOS.

Here is the link you will need.

The admit until date is the expiration date that the form asks for.

I-94 used to be a physical paper stapled in the back of her passport. They're electronic now and you found it.

11/04/2013 is your deadline to get married and file for adjustment of status.

When you enter on a K1 you have 90 days to get married and that's why the I-94 expires 90 days from the date of entry. You can still file for AOS if it has expired, there are people on here who have waited much longer. A lot of people aim to apply for AOS before the I-94 expires but this is not always possible for everyone.

Filed: Timeline

yes i did get married in the 90 days. Im looking at the print out sheets of I-94. On the top right corner it has a OMB number and Expiration date number that says 11/30/2014. Is that the expiration date or is it still the date next to admit until. So if it is expired does it make any difference? What changes say if I filed this before the expiration or after? Could i just date the paperwork before expiration date?

I've looked at the print out of my I-94. The admit until date is the one you want to be concerned with. I have the same expiration date in the top right hand corner and I think this may just be to do with the website and is not specific to the I-94 entry. The I-94 expires 90 days from the date of entry so the date in the right hand corner would take you well beyond the 90 days.

I'm not sure about what changes if you had filed before the expiration date. Maybe someone who applied after their expiration date will be able to advise you. You can't just back date the paper work as USCIS don't consider it filed until they have received it and issued an NOA1 for the forms

The expiration date of the I-94 does not matter, you just have to get married by that date. After that you have a 2 year period to apply for adjustment of status. I came to the US on 8 Nov. 2012 so the expiration date was 5 Feb. 2013 on my I-94. Me and my husband got married 19 Jan 2013 and we weren't able to send in our application for AOS until late July.. so the expiration date is nothing to worry about.

o my... wait so it expired??? what does that mean or what do i do? I cant file for AOS now? Now im worried!

The most important thing is that you got married before that date.

Is it a big deal to not have filed for AOS yet?

The answer is 'not really.'

Since no AOS was filed within those 90 days, she is currently in the country unlawfully, and could, on paper, be detained and removed. She has been unlawfully present since 11/05/2013. The truth is, no one is looking for her, no one knows, and no one will come knocking on your door. Once you file AOS she is again lawfully in the country. This unlawful presence will not matter at all to your AOS.
