Hello every one. This is my first post but I've been following the board for a few months trying to get my K1 package together. After many hours of research and putting things together I think I'm finally ready to send it in. I just want to ask a couple questions to clear my head.

First, I know the check/money order should be made out to 'U.S. Department of Homeland Defense', but what address goes on it? I have a Post Office money order and there is a place for the address. Do I leave it blank or put the address to the Dallas lock box?

Second, I read so many places that the packet layout needs to be simple and easy to take apart. I have everything in order exactly as the guide here says, with blank paper dividers that have plastic stick on type tabs on the bottom. Everything is two hole punched on top with one of the two hole slider clips holding it all together. A few things are stapled like multiple pages of the same thing ie, all the copied pages of my passport pages are staples together. Are staples ok like this? And is this packet too simple? Should I at least put it in a labeled folder?

Thanks for all the help, I just don't want any issues. I plan to mail it off tomorrow unless I find I made a mistake somewhere.

You don't have to put the address on the money order, just be sure to send your package to the Dallas Lockbox.

Your package sounds well put together. They'll remove staples and punch holes where needed. I didn't use blank dividers, but rather titled the sections. Just my own packaging technique. Organization is important, but the content should be the main focus at the outset of assembly. Good Luck!
