Hi, everyone! I just want to ask how many days for the so-called packet 3 to arrive? I checked in the Ceac Visa checker,it says READY and that the status was updated Nov 1, 2013. For those who experienced, how many days or weeks you have waited? Thanks!

Lol! Until now I have no update.. :)

You can try and email the HK embassy to find out if they have your file and sent out packet 3 :) you are getting close to the end! :)

Dec 4, 2013 - CEAC status updated (Embassy received P3)


Dec 13, 2013 - CEAC status updated (interview date assigned - Called DoS to get it)


Dec 16, 2013 - Medical in Kuching - Passed


Dec 20, 2013 - Received P4 hardcopy


Jan 9, 2013 - RESULT: APPROVED!!!!!

My status updated today on the uscis website. Saying they had mailed me a notice about my approved petition. And on the ceac website I t went from last updated Nov 7 to Nov 14.

Hope it means I'll be receiving packet 3

Hi N&P! Yes I emailed HK consulate and they replied that they sent a packet last November 1,2013 Which happens to be the date of our status updated in CEAC visa checker. They said to wait 10 days for me to receive the packet but until now I didn't receive any. :(.. And they updated our status again November 14. Waiting is just like..urrrgh! :(

@MiltonAnaya.. Same with ours! They also updated the status November 14. Maybe have to wait 2 weeks or 10 business days after they updated our status to receive a packet. Keep me posted if you receive one! :)

Omg how exciting. I was worried first hahaha. If you receive it first let me know too

@MiltonAnaya. Good day!my fiance received a notice from NVC and saying that I have to fill out the online DS-160 as the first step of the application. For sure your fiance will receive a notice too within 2 weeks! I am starting completing the form. :)

Congratulations on another step forward :) I received that notice last Tuesday. Do u have to complete that to be able to receive my interview date ?

I guess next is our interview letter :D

Oh good for us!did you submit the form already?honestly I have no idea what's next!hehe. maybe I will do this online thing first and submit it and then wait for their next instruction. :) I still have to do some inquiries in the consulate regarding my son's application. I'm kinda confused. Let me know what they tell you to do next when you're done submitting the DS-160!goodluck to us! :)

No I haven't because it ask for a picture of him and I don't know what type it has to be. I'll complete it some time during the week.

Yes I'll keep you updated. By the way what embassy are you working with ? I'm with Santo Domingo

Once the case has been forwarded to the embassy,you can start contacting them. I submitted my DS-160 yesterday. The consulate ask me to send them copies. But I forgot to make a copy of all the pages! So I called the call center if it's ok that I will just send the confirmation page. They said it's ok. So I will be sending the confirmation page today. Then I will register first to their site and , pay my visa and if I think I am ready for the interview, I will be the one to set an appointment to them.

Those are the steps here in Hong Kong pal! I don't know if all embassies/consulates have the same.

So call your embassy now for inquiries. :)
