Reg: travel during N-400 process

Folks,

I am just wondering whether I can travel outside the country while my paperwork is in process...If its OK to travel, do I need to intimate USCIS on my travel..coz in the application they asked for trip details since you obtain GC....please clarify...

You can travel and no need to notify uscis. But you need to be here for your fingerprinting, interview and Oath. So either that or you will have to someone collect your mail and reschedule those when it arrives. Because if you do not reschedule and do not make it for the appointment it will be consider abandoned and you will have to start the process all over again.

And you just inform them during the interview of the additional travel outside the country if done before interview or at the oath ceremony if you do it after interview and before Oath.
