Hello guys!

I think I screwed up.

I forgot to write all the documents in packet 3 form which pertain to me. I just sent the checklist (did NOT tick anything) and form as it is after signing. I just completed the form and did not write Police Certificate, Birth Certificate, Passport etc.

I think you are fine if I understand what you did properly - that you just sent back the checklist without writing anything along with the signed form. My fiancee didn't tick anything either!

Also, my fiancee had her interview and it went pretty smoothly!! Trying to bug her to write a review now but from what she described to me, the questions were pretty simple and the 2nd interviewer informed her that her case was straightforward. The only thing was that they had not received her medical yet even though she had done it some 10 days prior. She called the medical office after to check on it, and they had said that they sent it so maybe it's in delivery. YAY!!!!

Does anyone have experience with how quickly the Singapore embassy gets the passport + approved package ready for Aramex pick up? Our interview went well and was about a week ago but our status on the CEAC website still says 'Ready' though the date last updated shows today's date. Liznaj7 - I see you had 1 week between the interview and having the passport in hand. Did you do the pick up or delivery and did you see the approval on the CEAC website before? What are the different CEAC updates (Ready --> AP --> approved)?

We have been really lucky so far with our processing time so I am not trying to come off as impatient but just curious because my fiancee was supposed to travel this next weekend in Asia and would need her passport for it! She called the embassy who told her that if she did not hear from Aramex by Wednesday, she could come in and pick up her passport but that it would need to be re-submitted at a later time....we would much rather have the processed visa + passport in hand rather than risk making the process any longer than it needs to be. I guess it was a bit of a nice problem to have where my fiancee had booked this travel not anticipating the interview so quickly.

As whitetiger mentioned, your status will change and say "Issued" when your visa has been approved. Once my status changed to "Issued",it only took Aramex two days to deliver the passport and sealed envelope to my office. Hope you guys get the official approval really soon!

Wow no dates till May? Sorry to hear, whitetiger :( I have heard that sometimes, if they have cancellations, they call you to see if you are available earlier.

So just to fill everyone in, we had a dramatic end to our visa issuance process (but with a happy ending!). My fiancee had her interview last week, which went well, but the embassy had not yet received her medical. After waiting a week with the visa status unchanged at 'Ready', she called the embassy because she was supposed to travel on Friday, Apr 3 (she had mentioned this to the officer after her interview when inquiring about next steps, and the embassy had actually made a note in her file and knew about it - nice service!). Following the call, she visited the embassy in-person and spoke directly to the officers to explain her situation - the embassy offered to give her the passport back (albeit WITHOUT the visa being issued in it) which she could then give back to the embassy when she returned from travel. We did not want to take this risk, so since she had 2 more days till her travel we decided to leave the passport with the embassy and hope for the best, otherwise she was planning on canceling her trip. Through some miracle, by the end of Wednesday (singapore time), the status had moved to administrative processing! And then, when I checked last night before going to bed (Thursday morning Singapore time), it had again moved to "Issued"! We were shocked and thrilled so my fiancee then called the embassy (to see if they had moved the passport package to Aramex) and then Aramex to see if she could pick up the package ASAP. The passport and package travel first to the Aramex facility in Changi before reaching the other pickup point so they said my fiancee could come there at 6pm to try and pick it up. My fiancee went and the Aramex worked manually searched through all the packages received, and miraculously found my fiancee's passport and package!!! :dancing: Stressful experience (partly our own fault) but really happy it's worked out. So now, she has her passport in hand and we are DONE with the K-1!

Hi K-1s. :) My fiance, and i are just planning to start I-129F when i get back Hawaii this June, so, my question is, prior the petition submitted, will i still be able to take trips back to visit him while waiting for the processing to go through the different stages of approval? Since he is with the US Navy, his vacation days are not as convenient as i take my vacations. Hopefully, anyone out here can give some advise?

Sara
