Hi All,

I was just wondering if anybody knew exactly what they (the gremlins) are doing whilst we sit here waiting for NOA2? I heard something about background checks....who do they do that on? My fiance stole some things from a store as an early teen will this cause any problems? He was never charged just warned. What else do they do before we recieve the NOA2?

Kinda getting me down I'm seeing so many people that have gone through CSC who have waiting 4-6 months from NOA1 - NOA2 :(

Love hurts

When you live an ocean away

When you change your sleep schedule to catch a few more moments

When you really need to be held and you have to imagine whilst your partner describes it

When you constantly refresh the USCIS website to see if you're getting any closer

Love Loves

When it repays you with the love of your life

When God finally answered your biggest prayer

When you can live life again in the real world but still have that eternal connection

When you wake up for to the beginning of the rest of your life with the person you fought so hard for

When you love somebody that much

You'll do anything

hi

well im not to sure what they do, but my american fiancee had a run in with the law from his teenage years and i guess thats why it took 6.5 months to do the background check. They send the petition off to FBI in Washington to get all the relevant background checks done. I think your should be coming soon, if its the USC and not the UK citizen that has the record, i think it comes back a bit quicker..... as in our case. Good luck and believe me, i so know how your feeling, my prayers are with you.

They're working on other cases. I have a suspicion that it does not take them long to process a case once it comes to their desk (maybe a day or two, I dunno). Seeing as they do SO many peitions they couldn't tie up individual officers with cases for months. They probably have a checklist they go down as they read your packet, and if something isn't right they send the RFE. Dunno about the background checks though, probably don't take them long. Minor infractions like your fiance shouldn't affect it, if he was only warned and nothing official was done there might not be any info on it.
