I-129F transferred to California???

Hello,

I received an email today that said as of Dec. 12th 2006, my I-129F application was transferred to California. I already got my K3 visa in April 2006 though. Any thoughts of what this means?

Maybe it has to do with my AOS being transferred but wouldn't they say my I-485 was transferred instead?

Sorry can't help, that seems very odd.

I thought maybe if your I485 was in California, they somehow wanted to keep the file together... just very strange.

Hopefully someone else has a more useful take on this.

Should I call the mis information line?

I'm really concerned that my I-129F application is being moved when it has been approved for 8 months. Shouldn't it be in a file collecting dust somewhere by now?

I called the information line and they were very helpfull. The lady told me that ALL (old and new) K3 cases are being sent to California. She showed me this press release too:

Also, she mentioned that family based AOS should not be transferred to California. She said they only process employment based AOS.

I know there are lots of people who have been transferred to California for their AOS so not sure if she was confused.

Anyway, if anyone is in the US on a K3 you will probably get this notice shortly too!

Do you know if your I-485 has been sent to the CSC?

During adjustment of status all of the files on you will be dusted off and consolidated. It's usually transparent to the alien, you were possibly sent this NOA in error, the I-129f file should have been moved without notification to you.

The info line people are more often than not confused and often give out a LOT of incorrect information. Feel awfully sorry for people who don't have a resource like VJ and have to actually rely on the "info" line for information!

I'm not sure what is going on with my I-485. I haven't heard anything since they sent my biometrics appointment. I was hoping it got moved to California with my I-129F.

The lady on the phone said there is no way it would go there since they don't do family AOS.

I'm still a little bit worried that my application won't get touched for 2 years then they will be like oh yeah it got lost in transit!

Your AOS timeline is similar to mine....and we were transferred!

I'm thinking it was a mistake tho...have had no touches since 11/27....says case is now pending at CSC.

Well, I just got some e-mails last night that my AOS has been transferred to California!

I guess they transferred both cases and I just received the I-129F notice by mistake.

So I'm really excited now since I shouldn't need an interview. I always thought that K3 didn't get transferred so this is great.
