I am in the process of filling in all my forms for AOS after entering on a K-1 and I was recently advised to send I-131 just incase I decide to travel home for any reason which I think is a good idea. However, I do not have any concrete plans to return home...

I am I still able to send this form even if I have no idea of when I will go home next? If so what do I write on Form I-131 Supplement, Part 7 where it asks for description of travel and on Part 3 of the I-131 where it asks for date of intended departure and expected length of trip?

By all means, request it, it's free and it only takes a few mins to fill in the form. As for the dates just put up whatever 2 or 3 months ahead, you never know if you actually may need to travel out of the states.

Basically... although right now you wouldnt have enough time to get it before those dates as it is taking 2 months to get it approved and a week or two more to get it mailed to you, thats provided nothing delays your case.

Nobody here can tell you exactly what to do, but life has it's own twists. If for some reason should you have the urge the travel and you didnt file for AP you'll find yourself between a rock and a hard place. Do your own homework.

I have read the instructions thanks. All I wanted to know was whether the date I write down matters or not. I was going to just put some time in December, but then you confused me when you said I would not have it back by then anyway so I wondered whether I should put a later date than December.

We generally recommend people to put "Unknown" for date of departure and length.

You do not need any supplement.
