Who receives the package

Does anyone know who the package is sent to? Is it the petitioner or the beneficiary?

The letter goes to the petitioner the package goes thru to NVC and then gets transferred to the beneficiary's country

When the package gets sent to the beneficiary's country does it go to the beneficiary or the embassy?

I'm referring the package that is sent after the noa2 that has the police clearance requirement and the medical form to take to the doctor for medical examination.

The embassy receives it and sends it forward to the beneficiary.

Once the embassy receives your case they will e-mail the package to you when they are ready to interview you. package includes the interview letter and all the forms that you need to filled out and taken to the interview. They will also give you instruction to do the medical and for the medical all you need is the interview letter. Also for Afghanistan you don't need a police clearance

Myra do you know how one can inform the embassy to email the package instead of mailing it?

They will e-mail you the package. In Afghanistan they don't mail it out... So your fine, don't worry. once they are ready for the interview they will e-mail you everything.

It depends on who u listed as the person to contact. If it's u then they will email u the package:-)
