Hi all! Currently gearing myself up for my interview on Thursday - obsessively checking the reviews as we all do ;)

I've found a couple of reviews mentioning that the interviewer has checked all the previously submitted (packet 3) forms and told the applicant that DS-156 & DS-157 are missing. Naturally being visajourney pros the applicants had copies of these forms with them, so everything was fine.

BUT, I'm worried because I checked to make sure I had copies of all of those forms just in case this happens to me, and somehow I never made a copy of DS-156 (the one with the barcode stuff). What would happen if they lost their version and I didn't bring a copy? Would that lead to a refusal?! Should I make a brand new version (with new barcode and all that jazz) just in case?

Not sure if I'm panicking too much about small things!

Thanks! :)

You could make another copy if it would calm you down, but most of the time all your documents are safely there. If you read old reviews the DS-157 was not required.for women and not required for men past a certain age. When they started requiring it, some in those groups were caught off guard because, typical of London, they didn't post it on their website in advance.

I took no copies, was not asked, when they schedule your interview it means they have all the forms they need, so why take copies. I didn't have any copies anyway but I would not have been there if they didn't have them was my take on it.

Actually they misplace them. People have shown up at the interview and they say "your DS-xxx isn't here." or "I can't find your medical results". They go off and dig around and usually find things. People with backup copies of forms can just say--here I have another copy. It is rare, but happens.

Thanks for the responses (you always put my mind at ease Nich-Nick!). I know this obviously happens really rarely, but I wouldn't want to be the 1%. Guess I'll make a new DS-156 just so I feel prepared for anything!
