Hello and congratulations!

You need to go to the ssa to update your status, they will send you a new card but you will keep the same SSN.

Wait 3 weeks after your arrival date after going over there (otherwise you are not in their systems yet and it is a mess)

Don't wait more than 2 months, or 2 months and a half after your arrival date to go (as soon as you are pass the 3 months after arrival date, and before you get your EAD or GC, you are gonna be in a grey area, and getting any administration to do anything for you is a nightmare)

If you are planning to change your name and take your spouse to be name, the best is to go after the wedding, so you don't have to go twice.

Good luck in your visa journey!

From the day we sent I-129F to the day I recieved my K-1: Exactly 9 months
I am the benifeciary
