Anyone ever have an afternoon appointment for K-1 visa?

Hello everyone,

I am from Northern Ireland, but my interview will be held in London.

Looking over all the reviews, it seems as if all the interviews are held first thing in the morning.

I am wondering if it is possible to get an appointment in the late afternoon (I know I would probably have to reschedule). This would mean I could fly in early in the morning, get the train/tube to the Embassy, then get the tube/train back to the airport for a flight that evening.

Am I being ambitious here?

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I believe I remember reading on the embassy website the interviews only take place in the morning,

Which is a pain I know I don't live as far as u but I'll be taking the train to London and I definitely don't trust trains to ever run on time without delays so I'll probably just stay in London overnight

You're right, Jola. The embassy only holds interviews in the morning.

The interview time you're given doesn't match to the time you're actually interviewed, either. Like, if it says "8am" it could still be 10am before you're called up.

I don't think you can get an appt time any later than 9.30, and that's only to,stagger the number of people arriving, (my appt was 8a) once you're in they just give you a number and you wait until you're called. I think the number of appointments handed out is designed to be able to get through everyone by about 1pm, leaving them free to process all the paperwork from everybody that came through in the afternoon. I left just before 1pm and there was only one other person left at a counter, a few in line to pick up their passports with non-immigrant visas I presume and the rest of the waiting area was empty.

I don't think you can get away without an overnight stay in London, sorry.
