I thank God for he has done for me and my fiance...Thanks God for this page which has been so helpful, I don't know what I would have done without this page...I have been part of the VJ family for some time, but I have always been so busy that I was not able to interact neither post the review of our interview and decided to do so, since it was soo helpful to me I know this can be a great source for those that are in this long and kind of complicated journey....Our journey starts as follows...I filed the K-1 visa on July 31, 2012, they took FOREVER with our application...My NOA 1 took so long to come be sent...then they sent the REF for "intent to marry" I sent those back with additional proves of trips I took after I filed the petition, apparently this never arrived I had to sent it back again and wile I was gathering all the documents My NOA 2 had arrive!!...but this process took almost a YEAR!! for us. For the interview I found out a day I decided to pick up the phone and call because we have never received a notice of the interview, so 3 WEEKS before the interview day I find out that our interview is for July 2, 2013..OMG!...We started gathering documents and getting ready.....All of this is to tell you that if they take a long time with your case Don't panic although I know it is easier said than done...now to the review....We got to the consulate our appointment was at 6:45 we arrived there and yeas there were the buscones if you do not pay attention you would go with them and waste time as they would make you seat across the consulate don't know why?....we get on line guys one side girls on the other, the lady outside telling people the instructions was sort of rude, we go inside after 5 min we are called to give documents (DS forms ect.) this was a latina lady (very rude?) pay no mind to people like this..... then he had to get his finder prints did that went back to the window where I saw the green ticket! we were told to sit down, after about 30 min we were called for the interview. We were never separated asked him to write my name, where I work, my schedule, last time I visited, when we are getting married, how many kids we want to have (to both of us), what college I went to, when did I graduate, She asked to see pics, asked who were the people on two of the f the pics, then she says "Visa Aprovada",.. My advise to you as hard as it could be RELAX, go very well PREPARED and ORGANIZED ...I took a big binder with all sort of documents and things that would prove the relationship even calling cards I have kept for all these years....and practice although you know your partner it is always good to practice...another advice is if your case is not complicated you don't a lawyer just use the guides at uscis website and in this website it is soo helpful...also don't believe what other people even some lawyers that say if you don't submit a pic kissing you will be denied it's a LIE as long as your relationship is genuinely true you would be okay, there are come officers tougher than others, but just get educated about this whole journey and you would be just fine...Hope this helped...God Bless!!
