I am confused over the I-864 form and if my wife will need to bring another copy to the interview. I had to submit the I-864 to the national visa center along with my financial documents. Unless the national visa center isn't sending this information the the embassy. I don't understand why some people claimed that your spouse needs to bring this form to the interview when the embassy should have it already.

Another question is about self employed individuals and the I-864 form. I submitted my most recent tax return transcript and bank statements showing total deposits / withdrawals for the current year. I also had my bank include a letter stating how much i have in the account and the average balance. I'm not sure what else i could include to prove self employment income, but it's assumed that you need bank statements since you have to be depositing the money you're making somewhere.

She doesn't need to bring another copy if you sent an original to NVC, and yes, NVC is supposed to send everything on to the embassy. But it is not uncommon that something gets lost, so having a second copy to hand in at interview can avoid delays.

For self-employed, it is line 22 of the last tax return that matters. If that is over the poverty line for your household, you should be ok.
