I am trying to purchase my fiancee's one-way ticket to come here, but on the airline's website,

"According to Philippines law, all flight tickets for flights departing from the Philippines cannot be purchased from any region other than the Philippines."

I called Korean Air and the woman said that unless she has her "Green Card" we have to buy her a round-trip ticket.

BTW, she has her Fiancee Visa and CFO sticker. Can anyone offer me some advice?

Hawaiian Air let me buy my wifes. Wonder if it was because I went there for the interview and returned with her. I bought them online.

Send her the money and let her purchase the ticket. Or contact San Rafael Travel http://www.santraphael.com/home.php and purchase the tickets online, they are in the Phils. They include the travel tax in the airfare so one less counter to stop at in NAIA

Hawaiian does not fly to Manila anymore.

You have to call Korean Air MNL Ticketing office to get her a ticket. They don't do online purchasing. It's so inconvenient.

Or just buy her a ticket from Delta.. it's cheaper to be honest.

On October 2013, our I-129F Refused under 221(g)

So our son and I went back home to the PHL..

Ya I know, I always flew Hawaiian to the Phils as they flew into Phoenix, but they announced on their website a few months back they were cancelling that route as of August.

I'm not flying anywhere ;)

I was able to book mine online with Philippine Airlines 3 days ago. I had to enter her info (passport info/visa info) and it went just through just fine. I even called to confirm it. Only problem is I got an extra $19 foreign transaction fee. :(

Korean Air is restrictive, follows the rules to a "T". But they are a great airline to fly.

Don't forget to ask for your first time immigrant discount. Some Airlines offer that still I think.

Thanks for all the replies. I really wanted to fly her on Korean Air because there is only one stop and a short four hour layover in Seoul-Incheon. She can take a shower there. Then the long 14 hour flight to Dulles. I flew that route last year and Korean Prestige is the only way to go. I will drive out to Dulles this weekend to their corporate office and speak to them in person. Will advise...

With Korean Air, they used to (not sure if they still do or not) require her to have a copy of your CC and photo ID when she picks up her ticket at the airport. This can be scanned, emailed, and printed. And I agree, Korean Air is THE way to fly!! Their service rocks.

Try booking through Travelocity. They did not ask me any questions and the receipt itinerary was good enough. She flew PAL which, if I had bought a ticket directly with, would have made me fill out a bunch of forms just to reserve a ticket.
