Hi everyone,

I'm in the process of trying to get my wife over here from Germany. We recently married and afterward she went back to Germany to finish college. However, at the moment I'm stuck on a few questions with the I-130.

My first question is: my wife was here on an internship a few years ago and she received a social security number. it's not valid now, but should I write it on on the I-130 form?

Another question I have is with question 22 on the I-130: It stats to complete the question "if" your relative is in the united states, yet on the right side of the question there is space to write the city and country of the consulate where she will apply. So do I fill in that space? And if so, where would I find that info?

And lastly for part C question 2: It wants her address where she was and is currently living? She hasn't lived with me yet, but will after she is able to come over here. Would I put her German address?

Thank you so much for any help!!!

An SSN number stays with a person for life. If she has one, by all means use it

On the right side of question 22 mark down the embassy or consulate she will be going to. According to this: http://travel.state.gov/visa/fees/fees_5455.html?cid=9175 she will be interviewing in Frankfurt.

Yes that is her current address (will be the same answer as part C question 19) . If you have not lived together yet in that particular question Part C question 21, answer with "have not lived together yet." :)

I don't think you should fill any of question 22, since she is not in the United States. The right side is for those people who are in the U.S. but are found not eligible for AOS, this lets you choose which consulate to go to for consular processing in that case (since they cannot tell the consulate from her address in that case, since it's in the U.S.).

I'm going to agree with myself to disagree with you here, like I do on every other thread you post about this.

However, even if the consulate or embassy is not filled out, I do agree with you that the NVC will figure out which consulate she will be going to, and even if this side is filled out wrong, it'll be corrected at that stage.
