Hello guys I'm here again, uscis sent us a rfe that they want a legible copy of the death certificate of my fiance's late wife. He responded the day after he got the rfe hard copy.. He sent in the original death cert. but he will just get another death cert for him and his kids.

So after this will they approve us? Do they request another rfe after getting an answer from him? That's all they wanted , legible copy of the death cert.

Thank you in advance for the reply.

Normally the request everything in one RFE, but there are always exceptions. Once USCIS has your response to the RFE they have 60 days to reply back to you. Quite often USCIS replies within a couple weeks.

Thanks for the reply Hank.. Hopefully uscis will receive the response next week , but I'm worried about the address where he sent the reply. But we're pretty sure they will text or email my fiancé whenever they receive the rfe reply . Thanks Hank :)

As long as it was sent to the address on the RFE (along with including the RFE) and hopefully it was sent SIGNATURE REQUIRED for delivery so you know it was received at USCIS.

He told me he sent it to uscis California service center ,po box 10590 Laguna niguel ca 92607-0590, same address in the envelope, now I'm nervous.. :(

I'm not sure if he wrote "department of homeland security". Before "uscis"

He sent it back thru regular mail and said there was no tracking number

I have rode by that USCIS building. :)

Ah... no tracking to know when/if USCIS received it. USCIS is the one doing adjudicating the petition, so don't think it needs to have DHS on the address. Has the status info changed on the USCIS website?
