Hi VJ,

Sorry for my several post, but this is what I call PRE-planning for our trip :D Hopefully everyone understands.

To those that are willing to give me advice ( which I want to thank you in advance ), I have few question to ask:

1. When going through the immigration line, will I go through a different immigration line than my husband and baby? ( since they are both US and I am an LPR)

2. My Green card show my hyphenated last name ( my last name + my husbands last name ). Since my Philippines Passport is still under my maiden name, do I have to show them our marriage certificate? If Yes, do they just check it and return the MC back?

3. Do we need to present our marriage Certificate too since we have our baby with us?

4. When in the Philippines, even if e are staying there for just less than 21 days, I was thinking of obtaining the balikbayan stamp, that is because ( as far as my reading was concerned ) our travel tax is waived whenever we have the Balikbayan Stamp and also if we plan to purchase something from the Duty free, we can get it tax free. Is this true?

5. When obtaining Balikbayan Stamp, do we have to ask anybody at the airport where to go? Is there somebody there assigned to assist anybody who wants to obtain the Balikbayan Stamp?

Thank you!

You dont have to join a different line at the airport. folow the citizens line because your baby and husband are and u travelling togehter.

With regard to passport name, i have the same question. my fiancee has changed last name but her countrty passport has the maiden name. just dont know how this will be worked out especially form outside the US. Some airlines may not want to board because of the name difference.

1) Same line, then they can get the balikbayan stamp in their passports.

2) Good idea to bring a copy of your marriage certificate for name issues - if there are any.

3) Baby has own passport you should be good.

4) Don't know the rules for duty free at NAIA,

5) /\ # 1

On item 5, Ask for it at immigration when you give them your passports. They put it into your passport.

You might know this already, but it's not a 21 day visa now for visitors, it's 30 days. I know you weren't asking that, but though I'd throw it out there, since it changed this year. I think Hank nailed the rest of your questions for ya!
