Booking flight through Orbitz or Priceline

Hello! I have my visa on hand and I had been planning to book my flight through Orbitz or Pricline.

I had once booked my flight with them, from Memphis, USA -Philippines and didn't encounter any problem.

Anyone of you here booked through them? esp. Philippines-USA route, please share your experiences/thoughts/insights.

Expedia is good. Also go to delta's site directly and compare prices.

Hubby always uses Orbitz when booking for Los angeles to Manila roundtrip.

I have seen some of my friends posting on facebook that Philippines Airlines is offering discounts too for one way airfares to USA. Check those also

I use expedia, travelocity, priceline and find the best price for the schedule that meets my need. Then i will go to the airline's website and check prices, about half the time you can save a few more dollars going direct to the airlines. You can also continue to check daily as the prices will fluctuate as the airlines try to fill each plane.

Also ask about the new immigration flight discount for F1 visa holders. This may only apply to Philippine airlines though.

I've always had good luck using Orbitz. When I do round trip flights, I just book online. I had to call and speak to a representative the time that I went to pick up my (then) fiancee because I needed a round-trip for me and a one-way matching my return flight for her. They hooked me up.

Side note: On the way there, one of my flights was late to the point that I missed a layover to LAX. I called Orbitz after my late flight landed in Chicago and the representative got on the phone with the airline and knocked it out of the park by securing for me the only available stand-by ticket for the next flight to LAX (the people at the airline desk would not do this for me). I still had time to make my connection in LAX and all was saved.
