Yes, do not unless is a huge emergency.

I am a prime example of falling through the cracks. I started my journey in March, got my biometrics appt for a day that it would be totally impossible for me to go, politely requested the date to be rescheduled, they got my request April 4th and here I am... two calls, a letter, and be told to wait, because my case is still within normal process times. OK... in 2 weeks it will be over, so I think my case won't be done in the "normal" process time.

I can not do the e-request till is passed that time, and no... I have not tried info pass because my local office (in MN) is 3 hrs each way, and the biometrics office they told me to go originally (in WI) is also about 3 hrs away each way. I was advised by some of you, just to make the info pass appt. or try a walk in. If I'd live closer, sure I would have done it, but I can not afford to miss work or spend so much $$ driving. So I decided to be at their mercy, what now in view of the estimate times (if after the e-request I am put back in the system), my appt will be during the late fall/winter, something I wanted to avoid at all cost, because I just see it.. a blizzard the day I need to travel, not being able to do it, miss it and my case closed!

So... don't give them the chance to treat you the same, do NOT change your dates!
