Okay so when I log on the CEAC it says my status is Ready, which I think means my forms have been received by the US Embassy in London?

Ready
Immigrant Visa Case Number: LNDXXXXXXXXX Case Creation Date: 25-Jun-2013 Status Updated Date: 16-Aug-2013

I had my medical on the 13th August, would the 16th August 'status updated' be the results of that being added to my case?

I have also registered on the https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-GB website and paid my £150. (on 20th August) I have also selected where I would like to pick up my visa/passport.
It now says Current Status - attend interview.
But there is no interview date on there, so I am a bit confused. Is there something else I need to do? Or am I waiting for them to write me a letter with the interview date as the system was before? I have tried calling the helpline number but it all seems to be automated - very frustrating! Is it worth sending an email? Do they even reply?
Any insight would be fab, thanks! :)

Your CEAC will say ready from when London receive your case from the NVC, all the way until your visa is Issued (or if you go into AP). It's just a generic status.

The status updated date may change though, and that could be something to do with your forms. Best way to find out is to call DOS in the US.

If it updated on the 16th, then it probably will be your medical results.

If you have sent all your forms and done everything required of you, then it is just a case of waiting for them to assign you an interview.

You can send them an email, and they do reply, but unless you have an approaching wedding date and need an urgent interview, it's unlikely to be of any help.

You could call the embassy too, and ask if they have an interview date for you yet. Usually they are pretty quick at sending out the letter with the interview date on as soon as they have one for you (called packet 4). Sometimes you can find out slightly in advance by phoning them. They will probably give you some kind of time frame that you should expect to receive your interview appointment letter.
