Applicants for U.S. visas are required to appear in person for a visa interview at the U.S. Embassy or Consulate where they reside. Applicants must schedule an appointment for that interview, either online or through the call center.

In order to schedule a nonimmigrant visa appointment, you must have the following information and documents available:

  • A passport valid for travel to the United States with a validity date at least six months beyond the applicant's intended period of stay in the United States (unless country-specific agreements provide exemptions). If more than one person is included in the passport, each person desiring a visa must submit an application.
  • BPI fee receipt
  • DS-160 confirmation page
  • E-mail address
  • If applicable, required documents based on visa class (such as a petition approval for petition-based visas; see detailed lists in the information provided on this website about visa classes).

Remember, apply early! Though visa processing time is typically one week, processing time for specific cases may vary due to individual circumstances and other special requirements.

2013-07-11: Medical Exam Day-no tst need to go back on the ff day

2013-07-15: Medical Exam Day- tst result (-) immunization

2013-07-18: Interview Day

2013-xx-xx: Visa Received
2013-09-10: POE Dallas, Texas

(USCIS/NVC letters took an average of 50 calendar days to arrive in the Philippines so we don't rely on letters, thanks God for internet and VJ)

thank you so much for sharing this one. I am having my appointment scheduled on the 29th but I am planning to reschedule it earlier than that. I am hoping to get a spot for Aug 19/20... In case, can I just call the USEM Hotline to do the scheduling for me instead of changing it via online? thank you again! ;)

10/23/15 - Delivered to USCIS California Service Center

10/27/15 - $590 charged to account.

11/06/15 - Biometrics received for 11/18/15 appointment

Applicants, agents, or petitioners in the U.S should call (214) 571-1600, from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time). Callers may speak with an English-, Tagalog-, Ilocano- or Cebuano-speaking operator.
