Chinese birth certificate non availability

My mom, born in China back in 1940s, is planning to move to US to live with us. She is able to travel to China to obtain birth certificate. Is there a way for her to obtain a birth certificate non availability or affadavit from Chinese embassy in Toronto? If so, what is their contact info? Thanks.

I am on the same boat. I was born in 1969, and never issued a Birth Certificate. There was no such thing back then. Our family left in China in 1980. I need a certificate of non availability from Chinese Government so I can use affidavits to support my AOS. Does anyone know how to get this certificate of non availability. I know Indian government issues such certificate.

Usually, for people born in China, to satisfy the birth certificate requirement, they (or their relative) go to the notary public with their hukou and get a Notorial Certificate (a white booklet) including translation.

A Notarial certificate may not work for us, since we have long departed China since 1980. Our Hukow is already cancelled when we left China to Canada. Thanks for your quick reply.

Any news on this? I am on the same boat. Trying to get my parents from Canada to here. She was born in Macau and moved to Hong Kong at 5. She got no birth cert, no Macau ID card

We contacted a family friend in China back in our old village. The Oversea Chinese Committee in the village, which was established to help people immigrated from china, was able to help me get a notarized birth certificate. We supplied my parent's Canadian citizenship cards and my passport, plus several photos. The process costs $150 and several weeks. I am not sure what could be if you are from macao.
