I could not seem to find a clear answer on this:

Do we need a police certificate for the Jakarta Embassy? I read somewhere that they don't require that anymore but I was going to get Fiance on it if they do. You guys know how "fast" the Indonesian government likes to work. cray5ol.gif

Thank you all in advance!!

I asked Jakarta embassy by email last month, they said Indonesian police certificate is not required.

You can confirm it and ask yourself, just send your inquiries to JakIV@state.gov

They replied the day after I sent my email.

Hi dear,

The Indonesian police certificate is NOT required. Unless your fiance lived outside the country for more than 6 months, then he will need a police clearance from that country of residence. I hope this helps
